Abstract
Mentioned as data processing technologies to be developed in the 1980s are a computer-assisted system of document translation, supercomputer, knowledge-based information system, and an automated Japanese language office work processing system. Mentioned in relation with the utilization of thermonuclear energy are atomic steel making, liquefied coal gasification, heavy oil gasification, and cracking of heavy oil into lighter oils.
