Report on achievements of research and development of an automatic sewing system in fiscal 1988. High-speed laser cutting sub-system; 1988 nendo jido hosei system no kenkyu kaihatsu seika hokokusho. Kosoku laser saidan sub system

Abstract

This paper describes the achievements in fiscal 1985 of developing an automatic sewing system. The automatic fabric inspection detects and marks automatically defects in cloth that may cause quality defects in sewn products. This information is transmitted so that corrective actions can be taken preventively, and the quality is assured. In order to avoid errors in shifts of defect positions caused by expansion and shrinkage of cloth in each process, a meter marking device was fabricated to allow the positional information to be corrected. Improvement was given on the visual defect detection equipment by using optical means. Cloth cutting is performed mainly by the high-speed laser cutting system, where the knife mesh system is adopted for complementary purpose. Discussions were given on operation method plans for the laser cutting machine. The process is executed sequentially on one belt conveyer shaped honeycomb. An ITV camera is moved on a robot to use the image data therefrom for matching the patterns on cloth. An information printing device was given a basic design, and the printing ink was developed. An information transmission format was set as an item common to different devices. The pitch times in each process were calculated to structure a  More>>
