Abstract
The influence of lubricants circulating within refrigerating plant on boiling and convective condensation mechanisms, and the lack of data supplied by manufacturers mean that predictive models have to be used in order to determine the thermodynamic and transport properties of lubricating oils and of mixtures of refrigerants and oils. This study provides a series of correlations making it possible to calculate the properties of oils. This article also compares literature references to a few methods used to determine the properties of such mixtures. (author)
