Hydrodynamic noise sources in surface ships; Kantei ni okeru ryutai zatsuongen ni tsuite

Abstract

This article describes the generation and propagation processes of the hydrodynamic noise of surface ships which highly interfere with sonar performance. A simulation was carried out using BEM to make clear the influence of the hydrodynamic noise radiated from the hull plate on the sonar performance, and the location of the sonar noise sources on the hull plate was estimated with the sensitivity analysis method. This paper presents the results of the simulation and analysis. (author)
