Natural radioactivity (K,e U and e Th) analysis of seven black sea cores in Turkey

Abstract

Measurements of potassium,uranium and thorium concentrations of the Black Sea sediment samples from seven sampling stations and different depths were performed.K,e U and e Th concentrations in 80 sediment samples were in the range of 0.21-3.73%,0.01-5.51 ppm and 0.33-45.85 ppm and their mean contents were 1.92%,1.46 ppm and 18.74 ppm respectively.The ratios of K/e U,Th/e U and K/e Th were investigated and compared with the previous work.
