Abstract
In this work (continuation of `Beryllium` series) health hazards, toxic effects, limits of permissible atmospheric contamination and safe exposure to beryllium are described. Guidelines to the design, control operations and hygienic precautions of the working facilities are given. (Author). [Espanol] Este trabajo continua la serie de informes, que bajo el nombre generico BERILIO, tratan sobre distintos aspectos de la tecnologia de este metal. Se describen sus efectos toxicos, se evaluan las posibles fuentes de contaminacion y se discuten los limites de exposicion permitidos asi como los requisitos minimos de diseno de planta e higiene industrial necesarios para poder trabajar dentro de margenes aceptables de seguridad.
