Abstract

A description is made of a number of measurements performed during the programmed shutdown on Embalse nuclear power plant (CNE) (August 1989) to validate the existance of a reactivity insertion owing to the emptying of the liquid zone control system. In the event occurred on 27/12/88 when there was a partial loss Cl IV. Once the existance of this contribution was confirmed, the pertinent corrective measures were taken and the test was repeated to verify the effectiveness of the latter. The temporal evolution of a number of neutronic variables and process variables of the liquid zone system were stored in an IBM-PC XT equipped with analog-to-digital converters, for later analysis. [Espanol] En el presente trabajo se describen una serie de mediciones realizadas durante la parada programada de la Central Nuclear Embalse (CNE) (agosto 1989) para validar la existencia de una insercion de reactividad debida al vaciamiento del sistema de control zonal liquido durante el evento ocurrido el 27-12-88 de perdida parcial de Cl IV.
