Quantization in curvilinear coordinates

Abstract

The general covariant quantization method based on the equivalence principle is proposed. According to this method, it is found that an extra term: -1/3R appears in the Klein-Gordon equation. As a result, the effective mass of an electron, for example, will increase by the ratio of 10{sup -35} at the center of a neutron star. (author).
