Oxygen vacancy concentration - phase composition of zirconia dispersed in alumina matrix; Stezenie wakancji tlenowych a sklad fazowy dwutlenku cyrkonu rozproszonego w korundowej matrycy

Abstract

Effect of oxygen content in sintering atmosphere on phase composition of unstabilized zirconia grains dispersed in alumina matrix was studied. As it was proved, appearance of metastable cubic form of zirconia was a result of oxygen nonstoichiometry. Critical oxygen vacancy concentrations for both metastable forms of zirconia were estimated.
