Pontecorvo reactions as a general class of antiproton annihilation on nuclei

Abstract

Reactions of antiproton annihilation forbidden on a free nucleon but allowed on a bound one are considered. It is shown that the investigation of these reactions can be essential in clarifying the role of non-nucleonic degrees of freedom in nuclei. 20 refs.; 4 figs.; 2 tabs.
