Advanced irradiation of indicative vessel samples in the PIK reactor core; Operezhayushchee obluchenie obraztsov svidetelej korpusa v aktivnoj zone reaktora PIK

Abstract

Possibility of advanced irradiation of indicative vessel samples by fast neutron fluence in the PIK reactor core has been investigated. Fast neutron flux density {Phi} (neutron energy being above 1.2 MeV) in the core and in the model ampoules with indicative samples has been measured in the critical assambly called Physical model of the PIK reactor and calculated by Monte-Carlo TAU code. The value of {Phi} in indicative vessel samples irradiated in the middle part of the core is 1.7{+-}0.1 times greater than the value of {Phi} on the inner surface of the vessel. 5 refs.; 2 figs.; 1 tab.
