Abstract
In this contribution the development of sensors, sensor systems and equipment for the determination of physical, chemical and biological parameters in the sea is discussed. In addition requirements are made on apparatus for remote- and event controlled measuring and sampling systems which should be developed for the determination of different contaminants, especially with regard to its use for an operational, marine environmental surveillance system.
