Abstract
The current experimental status of the spin dependent structure functions as measured in polarized deep inelastic scattering of charged leptons from nucleons is reviewed. The experiment of the Spin Muon Collaboration at CERN which started taking data on the deuterium in 1991 is presented. The analysis of the collected data should give the first information of the neutron spin structure. (author). 17 refs, 4 figs, 1 tab.
