Abstract
We show that polarized deep inelastic scattering can hardly lead to a precise determination of polarized partonic structure functions, especially concerning the spin carried by gluons. We emphasize the role that could be played by hadronic colliders in order to pin down the magnitude of gluon polarized structure function by studying jet and direct photon productions.
