Abstract
It is demonstrated that the comparison of cross sections measured in inclusive deep inelastic electron-proton scattering with electrons and hadrons only can be utilized to recognize or even determine the size of absolute energy miscalibration of electromagnetic and hadronic calorimeters. The method is illustrated for the case of the HERA detector H1. (orig.).
