Abstract
The paper summarizes the efforts of the last years in order to arrive at a better understanding of the spin dynamics in electron-positron storage rings and to compare the experimental results with the theory. The principal considerations on depolarizing effects and the stability of a horizontal component are discussed and the conclusions are compared with experiment. 22 refs, 2 figs.
