Abstract
The main areas of activities in the period under review are the material cycles, the geochemistry of heavy metals and of radio-nuclides, and the transport of substances in the aquatic environment and the atmospheric environment, with particular emphasis on the ground water and the substances dissolved therein. Site-specific hydro-geological studies and studies into the isotope hydrology, also at the sites of repositories, are presented. Within the framework of investigations of the poleo-climate, the Institute carried out studies on the isotope stratigraphy in the Antarctica. Novel developments in tracer techniques are reported. [Deutsch] Der Schwerpunkt der Arbeiten liegt auf Untersuchungen von Stoffzyklen, der Geochemie von Schwermetallen und Radionukliden sowie dem Stofftransport im aquatischen und atmosphaerischen Milieu unter besonderer Beruecksichtigung des Grundwassers und der darin geloesten Stoffe. Standortspezifische hydrogeologische sowie isotopen-hydrologische Untersuchungen, auch im Bereich von Endlagerstaetten, werden vorgestellt. Auf dem Gebiet des Polaeoklimas sind isotopenstratigraphische Untersuchungen in der Antarktis durchgefuehrt worden. Neueste Entwicklungen der Tracertechnik werden beschrieben. (DG).
