Abstract
Anholt is a small island with approx. 70 households. It is situated in the middle of Kattegat, about 50 km north east of the city of Grenaa. During the summer period, the elctricity consumption grows considerably due to the many tourists visiting the island. The load pattern is therefore atypical compared to other systems. The maximum load is approx. 500 kW and the minimum is 50 kW. There is no connection to the electric system on the mainland. The purpose of the project is to demonstrate that a series-produced standard wind turbine is able to co-operate with diesel generator sets in an isolated power system and contribute to the power supply of the area with a minimum of extra control equipment. The control/measuring system has been active for 11773 hours during the reporting period. The wind turbine has been producing 116,421 kWh in 5200 hours during the period, which gives an average output of 22.4. (au).
