Abstract
A report on the JINR synchrotron performance in the first and second quarter of 1989 and on accomplished scientific scientific program is presented. A description of a new magnet channel on the second route on the slow beam extraction (SE-2) of nuclei with the energy up to 2.6 GeV/c is given. A scheme of establishment of local computer network of the accelerator complex and the parameters of the utilized computers are presented.
