Competition between complete fusion and quasi-fission in reactions between massive nuclei. The fusion barrier

Abstract

The analysis of the evaporation residue cross sections in reactions {sup 100}Mo+{sup 100}Mo and {sup 110}Pd+{sup 110}Pd has been carried out within different models of fusion. A model for calculation of the competition between the complete fusion and quasi-fission in massive symmetric dinuclear systems is proposed. In the framework of this model the calculation results are in satisfactory agreement with the experimental data. 14 refs.; 4 figs.
