Abstract
This paper deals with the determination of deposition velocity for {sup 85}Sr and {sup 131}I on tropical spinach plant (Spinicia olericia). The experiment is carried out in a specially designed exposure chamber to simulate exposure under fallout conditions in tropical environment. The activity is injected in the form of aerosols having a size distribution of 2.35 um activity median aerodynamic diameter (AMAD) with a geometric standard deviation of 2.00. The deposition velocity thus obtained ({approx_equal} 10{sup -5}m/s) differs significantly from those in temperate region. (author). 5 refs., 1 tab.
