Abstract
An analytical approach is developed for the study of magnetic resonance structures in the vacuum magnetic configurations as well as with the plasma at low pressure (the low {beta}). The purpose of the paper is to find the feasible method for the magnetic island size control. It is realized, in particular, by the way of current redistribution in poloidal windings of the magnetic field. 12 refs.; 2 figs.; 2 tables. (author).
