Abstract
The heat supply for the planned residential building block, Egebjerggaard 3, in Ballerup, near Copenhagen, has been evaluated in order to analyse the possibilities for establishing solar heating in connection with combined heat and power production. The analysis includes both an economical and a thermal analysis. Various systems with gas engine generators have been evaluated, by using computerized simulation. Gas engine generators are a little more expensive than a traditional system, but they use 60% less fuel although a larger investment and more extensive maintenance are needed. (CLS).
