Abstract
We construct a new class of nontopological solitons with scalar self-interaction term {kappa}{phi}{sup 4}. Because of the scalar self-interaction, there is a maximum size for these objects. There exists a critical value {kappa}{sub crit} for the coupling {kappa}. For {kappa} > {kappa}{sub crit} there are no stable nontopological solitons. In thin-walled limit, we show the explicit solutions of NTS with scalar self-interaction and/or gauge interaction. In the case of gauged NTS, soliton becomes a superconductor. (author). 11 refs.
