Abstract
The precipitation level of CaCO{sub 3} in water cooling towers can be related to two parameters:. Langellier Index and precipitation potential. These two parameters were calculated using a computer program which takes into consideration the temperature, pH, the calcium ion, bicarbonate concentration as well as the total dissolved solids (TDS) concentration (authors).
