Advanced heat pump technologies for district heating systems. Final report; Fortgeschrittene Waermepumpentechnologien fuer Fernwaermesysteme. Schlussbericht

Abstract

Objectives: Evaluation of advanced heat pump technologies for district heating systems. Development of economical solutions for the specific demands of district heating systems in different areas. 2. Work Program: putting together the demands of several district heating systems; evaluation of the technical potential for the use of advanced heat pumps considering its economy based on the current state of the art; comparison of solutions for the use of advanced heat pumps; draft planning of a concrete application of a heat pump in one of the examined nets. 3. Results: Based on this study the planning of advanced heat pumps for district heating systems can be carried out more efficiently. The connection of users of pressure steam at a low or middle level to district heating systems is simplified. With the support of advanced heat pumps the users demand for steam and cooling can be covered by using the facilities of the local district heating system. Through that the emission of harmful substances and the usage of primary energy can be reduced. As a result district heating systems show an improved efficiency. (orig.) Arbeitsprogramm: Aufstellung von Bedarfsprofilen fuer mehrere Fernwaermesysteme. Darstellung von Loesungswegen fuer den Einsatz fortgeschrittener Waermepumpen. Untersuchung der technischen Moeglichkeiten von Waermepumpen, ihres Einsatzpotentials und ihrer Wirtschaftlichkeit beim gegenwaertigen Stand der Technik. Durchfuehrung der Vorplanung eines konkreten Anwendungsfalls in einem der untersuchten Netze. 3. Ergebnis: Aufbauend auf dieser Studie kann die Planung des Einsatzes von Waermepumpen im Zusammenhang mit Fernwaermenetzen effizienter vorbereitet werden. Zukuenftig koennen somit vermehrt Verbraucher von Nieder- und Mitteldruckdampf an Fernwaermenetze angeschlossen werden. Mit Hilfe der Waermepumpen kann ihr Dampf- und Kaeltebedarf unter Nutzung der Fernwaerme von Ort erzeugt werden. Damit koennen Schadstoffemissionen vermindert, der Primaerenergiebedarf gesenkt und Fernwaermenetze besser genutzt werden. (orig.) With 2 refs., 25 tabs., 84 figs.}
