Abstract
We have studied the solubility of Tc(4) and Np(4) hydrous oxides in aqueous solution as a function of pH and carbonate concentration. The solid phases used were prepared by electro-reduction and precipitation on platinum electrodes. The implications on the speciation and mobility of Tc(4) and Np(4) in groundwater, as well as those of U(4) and Pu(4), are discussed.
