Abstract

At the Saarbergwerke AG about 200 000 tons of building materials are applied per year. First of all they are used for building up roadway packs, furthermore for backfilling of roadway supports as well as for refilling of cavities. About 38 per cent of the underground workers are exposed to the dusts that arise in different concentrations during the application. Within the scope of research works the efficiency of new equipments and procedures for dust control was examined and improved. A new procedure for personal dust sampling was tested. The influence of pack building material dusts upon personal dust control equipment was investigated. Essential process could be achieved in the field of the analysis of building material dusts. Not only natural anhydrite mixed with initiators was judged but also new pack building materials consisting of calcium sulphate dihydrate from flue gas desulfurisation plants respectively alphasemihydrate made of it, partially in mixtures with cement. The dust technical program was complemented within the scope of an accompanying HdA-project by experiments with animals at the department `Hygienics and Industrial Medicine` of the RWTH Aachen and by industrial medical studies at the Saarbergwerke AG. [Deutsch] Bei der Saarbergwerke AG werden jaehrlich rd. 200 000 t Baustoffe eingesetzt. Sie werden in erster Linie zur Errichtung von Streckenbegleitdaemmen, ferner zum Hinterfuellen von Streckenausbau sowie zum Verfuellen von Hohlraeumen verwendet. Den bei der Verarbeitung entstehenden Staeuben unterschiedlicher Konzentration sind rd. 38% der Untertagebelegschaft ausgesetzt. Im Rahmen der Forschungsarbeiten wurde die Wirksamkeit neuer Staubbekaempfungseinrichtungen und -verfahren geprueft und verbessert. Ein neues Verfahren zur personenbezogenen Staubmessung wurde eprobt. Der Einfluss von Dammbaustoffstaeuben auf persoenliche Staubschutzmittel wurde untersucht. Wesentliche Fortschritte konnten in der Analytik der Dammbaustoffstaeube erzielt werden. Neben anregerversetztem Naturanhydrit wurden auch neue Dammbaustoffe beurteilt, die Calciumsulfat-Dihydrat aus Rauchgasentschwefelungsanlagen bzw. daraus erzeugtes Alpha-Halbhydrat - teilweise in Mischung mit Zement - enthielten. Das staubtechnische Programm wurde im Rahmen eines HdA-Begleitvorhabens durch tierexperimentelle Arbeiten bei der Abteilung `Hygiene und Arbeitsmedizin` der RWTH Aachen sowie durch arbeitsmedizinische Untersuchungen bei der Saarbergwerke AG ergaenzt. Bei der Durchfuehrung des Vorhabens erzielte Erkenntnisse wurden bei der Entwicklung neuer gewerbehygienisch guenstigerer Dammbaustoffe umgesetzt. (orig.).}
