A market and project study of gas turbine small scale combined heat and power

Abstract

A study of the small scale packaged combined heat and power (CHP) market has been undertaken in conjunction with a project study of a CHP package concept based on a gas turbine and a directly driven high speed alternator. The aims of this project were: to examine the economic and technical issues involved in the use of small scale gas turbine technology for use in combined heat and power (CHP) systems, and to assess the technology and developments required to make the concept a commercial proposition.
