Abstract

High-current electron beam transport through a dense gaseous medium is investigated analytically and numerically. The main attention is paid to considering the processes induced by the beam fast electron thermalization in a gas and by the effects of these processes on the beam energy loss distribution. 4 refs.; 3 figs.
