Abstract
This brochure is designed for public information on the planned construction of the Czechoslovak nuclear power plant at Tetov. Facts on the past power consumption trends over the world and on the present status of the Czechoslovak power industry and its prospects are given. The planned siting of the nuclear power plant, its power output, time of construction, layout, and expected costs are described. The concepts of coolant circuits and cooling towers as well as the safety protection principles are outlined. The environmental impacts and benefits to the locality are assessed.
