Stochastic TDHF for reactions with large fluctuations

Abstract

Stochastic TDHF (time-dependent Hartree-Fock) is derived and presented, which is a theory for producing and propagating an ensemble of TDHF trajectories. The ensemble of STDHF is generated from a coherent propagation of correlations in second order perturbation theory. It can be shown to be equivalent to the Boltzmann-Langevin approach, but provides simple numerical techniques for the stochastic time-evolution. Some practical aspects are also discussed.
