Abstract
Systematic analysis of known experimental cross sections of the (n, {alpha}) reaction induced by fast neutrons is carried out for a wide range of mass numbers 19{<=}A{<=}140 for the target nuclei. The dependence of the (n, {alpha}) cross sections on the asymmetry parameter (N-Z)/A of proton and neutron numbers in the target nucleus is obtained for neutron energies of 8, 10, 14.5 and 16 MeV. 17 refs., 4 figs.
