Abstract

This booklet in the Good Practice Guide Series provides advice on practical ways of improving the energy efficiency of cupola melting in iron foundries. It considers the various factors which affect the efficiency of cupola operation, and examines the practices which can be implemented to improve current performance. A summary is provided to give the reader a quick reference to the main areas in which efficiency can be improved. (Author)
