Abstract
The lidar fluorosensor apparatus available at ENEA (Italian Agency for New Technologies, Energy and the Environment) Frascati has been used for a series of laboratory measurements of the photosynthetic electron transport in maize plants. The system, recently upgraded with a short pulse Nd: YAG laser, has been rearranged to test a new technique based on laser pump (XeCl) and probe (Nd: YAG) excitation efficiency. Experimental results will be presented and compared to those obtained by a PAM (Pulse Amplitude Modulation) Fluorometer.
