The glass container industry

Abstract

In 1991 a postal survey was undertaken by British Glass to collect energy consumption data from the container section of the glass industry. An analysis of the results of the survey is presented in this Energy Consumption Guide. Replies were received from 87% of container sites, representing 89% of container furnaces. A total of 37 furnaces were operating during the period covered by the survey. (author)
