CP-odd interaction of light quarks and the neutron electric dipole moment

Abstract

The experimental upper limit on the neutron electric dipole moment (NEDM) allows one to bound the parameters of CP-violation in the system of light quarks. New strict upper limits on these parameters are obtained within the chiral approach where the long-distance, logarithmic in {pi}-meson mass (m{sub {pi}}) contributions to NEDM are considered. 13 refs.; 1 fig.; 1 tab.
