Abstract
The reaction p + N {yields} [{Sigma}{sup 0}K{sup +}] + N has been studied at the SPHINX Facility with the IHEP 70 GeV proton beam. In the mass spectrum M[{Sigma}{sup 0}K{sup +}] for a coherent diffraction process a distinct peak with the mass M = 1999 {+-} 7 MeV and width {Gamma} = 91 {+-} 17 MeV is observed alogside with the nearthreshold structure with M {approx_equal} 1800 MeV. 7 refs., 4 figs.
