Energy Report. Summary and Conclusions. The Swedish energy system in 2005

Abstract

Forecasts for the Swedish energy system up to 2005 are presented in this report. The electricity market is presently undergoing deregulation, and a significant proportion of this report is therefore devoted to an analysis of the electricity market today and in the future. An especially important uncertainty factor is when the phase-out of nuclear power will start and at what rate it will proceed. In this matter, there is no political decision to take into account except that nuclear power will be phased out by 2010. The uncertainty in the assessment of nuclear capacity by 2005 is therefore great. 2 tabs
