Abstract
With the use of illustrative examples, this paper explains the theory and practice relevant to the ultrasonic testing of the degree of consolidation of a compacted soil intended to support reinforced concrete foundations. The reliability and accuracy of ultrasonic testing is compared with that of conventional testing methods.
