Abstract
The aim of this investigation was to find out if additional radionuclide deposition, above those from the nuclear weapons tests in the 60-ties and from the Chernobyl accident, and caused by nuclear power plants in neighbouring countries can be found. Methods and results of investigations at several near-border sites in Austria for iodine, plutonium and strontium are presented. The question of frontier-crossing contamination from nuclear power plants is to be answered to the negative. (Quittner).
