H{sub {infinity}} control and its application to nuclear plant

Abstract

H{sub {infinity}} control is a multi-variable optimal control in the sense of H{sub {infinity}}-norm minimum, and provides a powerful control method of robust stabilization. In the nuclear plant, which is a large-size and complex plant, robust stability of the control system plays a very important role in safe and reliable operation of the plant under various disturbances and system parameter changes. This report includes a solution of the standard H{sub {infinity}} control problem, a design method of H{sub {infinity}} robust-servo-control system and some application examples. (author).
