Abstract
Low spin S-band members are established in {sup 160,162}Dy. The coupling between the S-band and the ground state band is significant in {sup 160}Dy, but unnoticeable in the {sup 162}Dy isotope. This observation appears contrary to theoretical expectations. 11 refs., 8 figs., 1 tab.
