Photostimulated attenuation of hypersound in superlattice

Abstract

Photostimulated attenuation of hypersound in semiconductor superlattice has been investigated. It is shown that the attenuation coefficient depends on the phonon wave vector q in an oscillatory manner and that from this oscillation the band width {Delta} of superlattice can be found.
