Magnetic properties of permalloy microparticles

Abstract

Permeability and resonance frequency of Permalloy microparticles dispersed in an insulating host depend on particle size. Maxwell-Garnett theory is not accurate to interpret experimental results. Bruggeman theory is modified in order to take into account the effect of eddy currents and gives a very good agreement with experiments. (author). 3 refs., 3 figs., 1 tab.
