`Quantum` treatment of charged beam propagation with transverse coupling

Abstract

This study applies the formal `quantum` theory of charged beam transport to the case of a beam propagating through linear transport coupling systems to show that the formalism allows a straightforward solution of the problem and that it provides an example of non-isotropic quantization.
