Abstract
The security policy has changed during the last years, which means that the present volume of the strategic reserves of petroleum products may be decreased. This investigation shows that with the proposed decentralized storage structure, founded on basic, median- and end use storages, the system availability will reach a lowest acceptable level. It is also economically attractive compared to the recent structure with a number of large, remotely situated storages
