Abstract
The main problem of correcting telemetered data from the effect due to the absorption and consequent riemission of energy, in the observed wavelength, by the atmosphere, can be solved with different strategies. The Lowtran code, developed by NOOA is based on a mathematical model for the simulation of the iteration between photons and atmosphere; this code has been adapted to the 3. 20 version of FORTRAN Microsoft for PC IBM/DOS compatible. The code is fully explained and commented.
