Distribution of time for counting samples in radioactivity counter; Distribuicao do tempo para contagem de amostras em um detetor de radiacao

Abstract

The precision and the sensibility of measures of activity, made by a radioactivity counter, improve as function of counting time. The precision also increases as the measured activities do. This work describes an auxiliary method for division of time available for counting samples, in a radioactivity counter, defining a priori the sensibility, and shortening the variation of the precision around a pre-determined value.
