Abstract
The effects of the ban issued by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency on the use of selected CFCs in polyurethane foam processing in Sweden have been reviewed up to 1990. This report covering 57 polyurethane foam manufacturing plants or 90-95% of the total national capacity, summaries the present situation regarding already implemented technical options, problems still to be solved and costs involved as a consequence of the CFC phase out.
